1-38. Transcendent peace is not to be obtained or learned. It can only be remembered. You never left Heaven. It is here with you now.
It is equally a simple and forgivable assumption to believe that Heaven must somehow be separate and unreachable from this world. This world, with its incessantly insistent examples of separation and isolation, embodied in almost every event which transpires here, appears to be diametrically opposed to the Peace of Heaven. But this is not true. Heaven is not a separate place, a location to be obtained or delivered to after any particular sequence of actions or events. You do not need to wait until your body perishes to remember the Peace of Heaven. Certainly you will when you experience physical death, as release from the body automatically frees the mind to finally set down the horribly onerous burdens that a belief in the ego must cause. If you wish to wait until the cessation of your current physical incarnation to allow your mind to expand beyond the limits of all that is physical, you are certainly welcome to do so. No restrictions exist on when you can remember that Heaven is forever your home. You have Free Will and you are able to choose when you are ready to relinquish your beliefs in limits. If release from your body is the principle factor that you believe must control your inevitable change in perception from a limited one to an unlimited one, then you may choose this for yourself. But you do not have to. You can choose another way. Transcendent Peace, the Peace that comes from fully allowing the field of all possibilities to completely permeate and uplift your mind, is available in any and all moments. There are no restrictions on when you can allow this new, transcended and transcendental viewpoint to become possible for you. If you believe it is not possible, it will forever be outside of your grasp. But if you can believe, if even for the briefest of instants, that it is possible, you will open a crack, however small, in the ironclad armor of the ego. From this tiniest of chinks, the Light of Love will be able to shine through to your heart, lighting it a glow so perfect, so wondrous and so undeniably Real that to deny that it is forever the Light that you have always sought will become impossible. All that you have forgotten, all of the Glory of God and the Light of Heaven and the Peace that is forever Real is not lost to you. It is merely neglected, isolated to a dim and dark part of your mind where its memory still lives but is not seen, not recognized and not accepted. This is in no way your fault. It is nearly impossible to find yourself in this world without losing most, if not all, of your memories of that which is forever Real. But to forget is never the same as losing. That which God has Created does not change. As such, Heaven does not change and it forever remains your Home. It is not that you were cast out, rejected, expelled or found unworthy of Heaven in any way. It is simply that you imagined a world in which Heaven was not Real. Because of this simple error, this world was born. Born out of necessity, it will dissipate as the morning mists fall before the light of a new day. You did not leave Heaven when you came to this world. You simply forgot it. But Heaven and God have not forgotten you. Your own judgments of yourself can never be considered to be wholly accurate as you do not know everything. But God does. As such, have trust in God. God knows all and because of this, only God is properly and correctly suited to judge anything. This judgment has already occurred. It happened before time began. In the infinitely gentle Mercy of God, all of God’s Children were judged to be forever worthy of Love. No more than this will ever be needed. Only each Child’s refusal to accept their own worthiness withholds the Light of Heaven from their sight. All will return. None will be left behind. Heaven is not truly complete until all of the Children of God return. This world rejoices in concepts of limitation, learning and yearning for more. But nothing more is needed. No barrier stands between you and Heaven. There is nothing to obtain, no mystical state of mind to rise up towards, no challenges to overcome or battles to win. There is nothing that you need do. It was already done for you, before the beginning of the necessity for time itself. To remember Heaven is but to remember yourself. Much has happened that has layered a mountain of illusions upon all that you are, now and forever. But illusions have no life but what you grant them through believing them to be true. Not only are they not real, they are not even necessary. To release illusions is a process that is necessary to allow the Light of Love to return to your mind. Absolutely nothing stands between you and the Light of Love save your desire, whether on a conscious or unconscious level, which are but abstract concepts for your mind which is forever unified but which may appear to have separate levels, to believe that you are in some way unworthy of the Love of God. You are not. You have never been and you can never be. But until you are ready to accept that it is both possible and, in Truth, absolutely True that you are forever worthy of the Love of God, Heaven will appear to be a distant and unobtainable memory. To return to Heaven while you are still incarnate in your body is but to allow all illusions to fall before the Light of Love that forever shines forth from Heaven. When you are ready, it is certain that you will accept this Light as your own. The exact amount of time you will require is not at all certain. It is wholly within your power to choose. To choose Heaven is but to remember the Grace and Mercy of God. To remember God is but to remember Love. To remember Love is but to remember yourself. When you remember yourself, you will Experience the simple Truth that you never left Heaven. You merely closed your eyes to Heaven’s Light for the briefest of instants.
